Fiatagri is a manufacturer of agricultural machinery, including tractors. The company was founded in 1916 under the Fiat Trattori brand.
In 1988, Fiat merged the production of agricultural and construction machinery under the name Fiat Geotech. The name FiatAgri is retained as a brand of agricultural equipment.
Fiatagri was a brand of Fiat Group tractors until Ford Motor Company took over tractor production. In 1999, New Holland merged (the name New Holland was also sold to Ford by Fiat), and agricultural and construction machinery manufacturer Case Corporation (both US), the combined company is called Case-New Holland and is 90% owned by the Fiat Group.
Fiat has been making tractors since 1919.
In 1974, Fiat Trattori SpA was created for the production of tractors. In 1977, Fiat Trattori took over the American corporation Hesston to gain access to the North American market. In the same year, the Italian competitor Agrifull was taken over, the brand of which was used for several years. From 1979 to 1983, tractors with a capacity of 230 to 350 hp were purchased from station wagons and sold in Europe under the Fiat brand. In 1984, the Fiat Trattori was renamed the Fiatagri. In 1990, the Winner series was introduced. Meanwhile, the licensee produced under the Türkfiat brand for the Turkish market.
Fiat Agri tractors have been sold as New Holland tractors since 1995.
